The fifth instalment of Go Zim’s Get Out And Vote campaign saw us stop over in Gweru for a day filled with activities.
The point of the campaign is to encourage registered voters to get out and vote on election day – and do so peacefully. You can read more about it here.
As it stands, there’s just one week left until Zimbabwe heads to the polls to vote, and the Go Zim team was impressed with the turnout in Gweru.
Throughout the day, celebrities and heads of organisations took to the stage to share the message and sign a peace pledge, and it was great to see just how many people support free and fair elections. Along with Freeman, Jah Signal and Empress Massina, Madiz, Sebastin Magacha, Kinnah and Nasty Tricks entertained the crowd.
